Immanuel Lutheran Confirmation 1925

Julius Neils was a successful Minnesota lumberman. With westward extension of the railroad, he set up an additional sawmill operation in Cass Lake. In 1899, Mr. Neils purchased town lots for a church, school and parsonage.

By the time the Arndts arrived in Cass Lake, the church was an established, Evangelical [Lutheran], German-speaking congregation. Constantin Norenberg (1889-1955) and Bertha Arndt (1893-1970) were members of Immanuel. All their children were baptized at Immanuel. Their children also confirmed their baptisms at Immanuel.

Confirmation 1925

Otto Norenberg (1911-1997) was the eldest son of Constantin and Bertha. He was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Palm Sunday, April 5, 1925.²Otto Norenberg Confirmation Certificate. Owned by Karrie Blees, March 30, 2023.
